Good morning, guys. We had a wild rager last night, and now we are having breakfast. It’s Sunday. It’s brunch time. We’ve got Raya; we’ve got Carrie; we’ve got Louis; we’ve got brunch. A lot of people have asked us, “Have you guys been traveling recently”? And the answer is no. We have literally just been brunching on this patio. You just got back from Jamaica. Who wants coffee? Anybody? Cafe? I’ll take some. Yeah. The boob mug is proving to be very popular today. Delightfully tacky , yet unrefined. Hooters. That is actually the tagline for Hooters. She just started skateboarding yesterday, but honestly I’ve never seen anyone as gifted right off the bat.. Thank you. You’ve done really well, though. You’ve done really well. What kind of board did you get? Oh yeah, I can show you. Let’s see. That’s a nice little Arbor. It’s made of bamboo. That’s nice. What are you riding? It’s got thick wheels so I’m not worried. Dude. Tony Alva Tony Alva: legit, old school, first generation Venice Dogtown. Him, Jay Adams, and Stacy Peralta. I’m riding Da Monster Carver board. Everybody’s on skateboards. And we’re heading down to Abbott Kinney. Then I think we’re probably going to go maybe we’ll go down to the beach. But, yeah, skate day! Venice Beach is the perfect place to learn how to skateboard. This is really the birthplace of modern skateboarding as we know. The second wave of skateboarding happened here in the 1970s, The Dogtown and Z-Boys Crew people like Tony Alva, Jay Alvarez Not Jay Alvarez…Jay Adams, Stacy Peralta. They all started skateboarding and basically skateboarding in swimming pools and revolutionized skateboarding as we know it today. I’m on the Carver. Da Monster. Surfskate What’s this one? Globe. What’s your board? It’s Illuminaughty. But, naughty spelled like naughty. That’s so good. Nice. It’s made by Arbor. I’ve got a really pretty pastel one with a jelly fish in the back. And because of this thing, it’s easier to ride. This is my board. I don’t know much of it because it’s not mine. But, I can ride it. You’re doing well. Me and my Sector 9 out here skating today..got blue wheels. Always got to have the blue wheels. I’m riding a Santa Cruz board with a Sector 9 soft trucks. I’m riding a Sector 9 board with the… you mean a Santa Cruz? Your hands are full. This is the problem with vlogging and eating ice cream and skateboarding. This street is pretty awesome. This is where all the old- school Venice Beach cottages are. You may or may not know, all of Venice was originally built with a canal system. So this street here was a canal. These houses were right on the water. And these were just beautiful, beautiful. Cody, tell me dude This is called teamwork… When your friend has a booster board and you don’t, just hitch a ride. Hitch a ride. That’s all you need Getting the squad photo. Sundays at the Venice Beach boardwalk is a carnival of epic proportions that you can only find here. Right now we’re on the Venice Beach boardwalk. This is the craziest corner of Venice. It’s probably one of the best boardwalks in the world, without exaggeration.. It’s also where the Venice Pier used to be, back in the day when there was an amusement park here. We’re going to go over here. There’s a drum circle going on. The drum circle looks just like a bunch of random people, but it has a really interesting history.. It’s actually..it dates back to the 1950s when the Beat Generation, Jack Kerourac and all those people were here. Bongo drums was their form of rebellion, and it’s happened every Sunday since then. We’ve made it to the drum circle here. Look at this. They’ve got all these awesome flags from around the world here. You digging this, Will? I’m digging it. Yeah, man. Pretty awesome? Yeah. Although, where’s the Brazil flag? Somewhere here. We can find it. I don’t see it. It’s over there. It’s at the end. Guys, want to dance? It’s fun in there. Come on And Louis got laid. I got laid I think we’re going to hop on skates, head down the boardwalk to the Venice Pier and hopefully catch sunset down there. We need to go surfing this weekend. Yeah, man. Such a beautiful sunset. A little wave back there doing its thing. Arden’s shredding. Shredding on the shredcycle. This is why I completely wipe out. Will Tony Alva Darbyshire doing his thing. The rest of the squad. Look at the conga line. Oh yeah. We’re going to join in on that. Hold up. Thank you, Brother. I’m in charge of this. Got some nice little lens glare going on. Oh yeah. All right we’re good. Where’s my board? Right there. Oh yeah. Please. I always want to get laid by you. Good The sun is setting. Everybody’s just posted up, taking a seat in the sand. We are at the drum circle. We spotted this guy who just looked exactly like Adrian Bliss. Look at it. Will got the photo. Look at him. Wait. Can I see him? OMG Look. There he is. Welcome. Nice. The skate. All right, guys. The sun has set, and now it is time to eat. We don’t really know. What’s the plan? Where are we going? I think we’re going to go here to Roy Choi’s new restaurant, Sunny Spot, which is Caribbean themed with craft cocktails. It’s not new. It’s got a pink side. That’s the only reason I want to go there. Do you like pink? yeah I like pink. I can tell. Oh canals. Cute. Venice Canals. What are they doing in that boat right there? OMG That’s amazing It looks a little wet. Do you guys want to come over after? We’re so down. Awesome Right there. We got chicken drunken noodle 2 out of 3 on the spicy scale so that could be potentially problematic. Alex wanted to go with one, but I was like….. come on. Making me live dangerously, Carrie. Is it really that spicy to you? No. I’m being melodramatic. The squad is dispersing. You need to move on this side of the street so we can walk home on the same street together. Got it. Boom See you soon. Good bye. Good bye. Ladies, gentlemen, it’s been a super fun afternoon. Hopefully, you enjoyed this kind of quick on-the-spot-vlog. But, we had a great time. Vagabuddies, make sure you go subscribe to the entire squad. We’ll put links to everybody’s channel down there in the description box. Marko. What’s up? We’re saying good night. Ok. Thanks for watching Stay curious, keep exploring, and we’ll see you on the road. Peace.
